REVIEW: Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine

“I simply didn't know how to make things better. I could not solve the puzzle of me.”

I'm not quite sure what I can say about this book which hasn't already been said. I tend to be a bit reluctant with extremely popular books like this because they never live up to the hype but SO many people suggested this so I just thought what the hell.

Halfway through this book, I was solidly rating it 3 stars. It wasn't thrilling me much but it was readable and didn't feel like a chore. My main criticism was that it got a little boring during 'Good Days' and I felt that perhaps it needed cutting down lengthwise.

But then I got to the 'Bad Days' section and the book got a lot better. I don't want to give much away, but it was worth the reading time to get to this section.

The only other point I'd like to make is that I felt there could have been a longer ending after the climax. It felt somewhat abrupt but still worked. I suppose I just wanted to hear a bit more about what happened to the characters afterwards.
